Once you’re established and have a few regular clients that love what you do, you can expect to receive an enhanced rate of pay. The first reason for this is that you can charge more per hour than an employee and the second is that, as a limited company, your tax burden will likely be lower. You get to decide who you work with and which projects you work on with them. If you’re not keen on a company because of their ethical decisions, then you don’t have to work for them – employees have this choice too to some degree, but they’ll have to find an entirely new job and employer.
